Lincoln, UK and Woolsthorpe Manor

We took our first weekend trip on October 10/24-10/26. We visited the historic town of Lincoln, UK with 5 other couples!

Saw this lil gem on the drive up...going to visit the Sherwood Forest when the boys come over...

All of us at dinner the first night

Went to a play called Masters of the House. A chorus of 4 sang the hits of musical theatre! It was fabulous!
Lincoln was once all under water. The area is rich in agricultural industry. They built a huge hill to prevent the sea from moving back in on them. The road leading up the hill is appropriately named "Steep Hill"!
The view from our hotel! The cathedral in the distance...

one of only 4 copies of the Magna Carta is housed at the castle - it was closed, so we didn't get to see it

The next morning 3 couples headed to Woolsthorpe Manor to visit the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton.
Being that I teach RGB Color & Light Theory...this was heaven to me!
